Plain-language privacy: what we collect, why, and the controls you keep.

What we collect

  • Account: name and email you give us at signup; phone/address only if you add them.
  • Billing meta: handled by Stripe. We receive subscription status and the last four digits of your card, never the full number.
  • Instance content: files, memory, chats, and receipts live with your JUWEL instance and are yours. Your signing key is generated on your device.
  • Usage / telemetry: page analytics and error logs to keep the product working. Theme preference may be stored in local storage on your device.
  • Device / session: session cookies used to keep you signed in (as implemented: HttpOnly/Secure/Lax where applicable).
  • Communications: transactional email/SMS (auth codes, account notices) if you use those channels.

What we do with it

Run JUWEL for you, authenticate you, bill you, protect against fraud/abuse, and improve the product without training Vext models on your private instance content. Marketing email only with your consent (unsubscribe anytime). We do not sell your data.

Training and model providers

We do not use your private JUWEL instance content (files, memory, chats) to train Vext models. When a turn is routed to a third-party model provider, that provider receives prompts/outputs for that turn under their terms; the receipt is intended to record which provider ran. Public research datasets are separate from customer private instance content.

PHI and professional data

Do not submit protected health information unless you have a signed Business Associate Agreement with Vext Labs. We do not offer a BAA today. Attorney-client and other privileged material remains your responsibility; use encryption in transit and treat the instance as your workspace, not a substitute for firm data-governance controls.

Your controls

  • Export your files, memory, and receipts where available (Settings or email request).
  • Delete via JUWEL OS: Settings → Account → Delete account, or the public account deletion instructions, or write to info@juwel.ai with subject “Privacy request” / “JUWEL account deletion request.”
  • Deletion honesty: Self-serve deletion confirms your request and returns a deletion plan. Production purge of account keys runs when live deletion is enabled for the deployment; until then the UI will not claim your account was wiped if the server returned a dry-run plan. Email requests: we verify the request and aim to complete within 30 days where applicable law allows, subject to retention carve-outs.
  • Rights where applicable law provides: access, correction, deletion, export/portability, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw marketing consent. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
  • Receipts you exported remain verifiable offline forever. That never depends on us.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. After deletion: purge account keys per the deletion plan. Exceptions may include SMS STOP/opt-out records, tax/billing records, security/fraud logs, hashed deletion audit entries, and legal holds — not full chat content. Backups, if any, roll off on infrastructure schedules.

Third parties

Each receives only what the job requires:

  • Stripe — payments and subscription status
  • Vercel — hosting / serverless API
  • Upstash Redis — account, session, wallet, and related indexes
  • Model providers (named on the receipt for a turn) — inference
  • Composio / OAuth providers — integration connections when you connect apps
  • Cloudflare R2 / RunPod — artifacts and GPU inference when those paths are used
  • Email/SMS providers when configured for auth or transactional messages

International transfers

Vext Labs is US-based. If you access the service from outside the US, your data may be processed in the United States. Enterprise customers may use our DPA (including SCCs/IDTA where applicable) by contacting us.

Use of the service is also subject to the Acceptable Use Policy.
